Easter Rockefeller Dinner
We were thinking of you on Easter.
Your mom and I cooked and made chicken Rockefeller with mashed potatoes and spinach bacon salad it was so delicious. After dinner we played hurty games with the shock collar it was really hilarious.
I need you to email me your shipping address in the MTC. There are people that want to send you a package while you're in there.
What did you think of general conference? That was one of my favorite parts of the time that I spent in the MTC.What was your favorite talk?
Have you done the muscle memory test with any of the elders in the MTC yet?
I miss you. It is not sunk in yet that I won't get to see you for a Long time.
When I said good bye to you originally I was fully expecting to drive you up to Idaho.
I love you and hope to hear from you soon.
Dad
I so wish I could be there for the hurty games haha! Who was the funniest getting shocked? My address is

I really hope that's the one haha I need to put in some requests for the package: I'd love some more tall black socks and some non drowsy allergy pills and more than anything PLEASE get me a back scratcher asap! (Send those in one by one if needs be.. the faster I get help the better) haha my zone will be so happy for me now.. I have been the only one for the past week and a half that hasn't received a package. And I don't mind at all! I will let you know if I need more stuff
I thought conference was SO stinking cool, I had a lot of Qs going in and had all of them answered! I had a bunch of talks I loved, I'll let you know some of my favorite after the temple:)
Haha yeah I did the muscle memory test with my new zl elder darling. He's my best buddy I have here. I know my comp is supposed to be but we struggled a lot this week and Elder darling is such a huge help. I'll tell you more about elder Bush and I but we're late getting to the temple. Love You! I'll talk to you in a bit!
Elder Legas
Remember to reply ALL so mom gets these too.
What were some of the questions you had going into conference? What were the answers?
How funny was it when the prophet was announcing all those temples then said "Layton Utah"?
What is it you like about your new zl?
Okay so I had a few questions but before I talk about those we've been talking a lot about faith here and I've been DYING to put something to put my faith in and say "okay Heavenly Father I did my part now I'm going to sit back and let the blessings follow." I know I'm doing that with my mission but I want something else for a "trial of faith" it's bonkers but I want it:)
Some actual questions I had going in were:
1. Why when I know my investigators have felt the spirit theyre still not responsive (Why is it so hard for them to accept)?
2. How can I become a better missionary?
3. How can I help less actives when they've fallen away?
My answers I got:
1. Sat morning: Lynn G. Robbins.
"The Lord knows this experience will benefit us later and we will appreciate it more when the end comes." And then Elder Holland in a devotional Sunday night: "Salvation IS NOT a cheap experience. It WAS NOT easy for Christ to go thru. The road to Salvation goes DIRECTLY thru Gethsemane. Everyone needs to feel that struggle that Christ felt. And it's hard, its miserable. Christ BEGGED with Heavenly Father for another way he could go about saving us from sin. But there wasn't. "Jesus Christ did not eliminate our personal responsibility, He forgives us when we obey his commandments and make the necessary changes in our life to follow him." (Faith and repentance)
2. Sat afternoon: Taylor G. Godoy.
"Be willing to sacrifice. Personal sacrifice drives commitments." (Getting investigators to commit to reading or praying) Saturday afternoon: David A. Bednar. (Y'all go read the story of pahoran and moroni.) "When under scrutiny or someone is just going bonkers respond with love." Elder Bednars talk redefined meekness for me. Go check that out and tell me your thoughts. Sat Morning: Larry Echohawk. Taught "if there is a fault in someone and it offends, we need to realize the other is hurting just as much. If not more"
3. Sat Morning: M. Russel Ballard.
Talked about how it doesn't matter how MUCH faith you have if you have it you'll be able to move mountains. Our conversion isn't to the apostles or to members. Our conversion is to the Lord and to the gospel.
I thought the solemn assembly was so darn cool! Where were y'all when you watched that? I could just imagine Cael standing up by himself and raising his hand. The spirit was so strong.
