TRANSFERSSSS

So this past Thursday I had to say goodbye to my trainer Elder Hatch. It was a bummer because we were such good pals, we had everything in common. 

I honestly thought my new companion would be lame sauce..

Boy was I wrong. Minnesotians are the bomb . com! 

Our first day together was interesting. Normally on Exchange days you get shopping done for the new guy, he tells me "I dont need to shop, lets go to work" To be honest I was really looking forward to a nice relax day shopping for his stuff. So I was grouchy the first little bit I was with him. It was wrong on my part 

He speaks Spanish allllll the time in the apartment and not gonna lie the 1st 24 hours I was ready to strangle the guy bc it was annoying. At one moment of the day -I'd say 26 hours after I initially met him, we were walking out of the stake center and he kept talking in Spanish and I didn't know what he was saying and it was annoying. I hop into the car, He goes to the back (bc he has to back me when I'm in reverse) I close the door, start the car and pause for a second. I felt like I needed to pray. So as I'm slowly backing up in a huge empty parking lot I pray out loud something like this.. "God, please help me to love this guy. I'm slackin, I want to be better. Help me act like how Jesus would react when he gets on my nerves. NameofJesusChristAmen." I had to rush the end of the prayer bc he was coming in and I didn't want him to hear. On the 1st silent car ride him and I ever and probably will ever have. I pondered and thought to myself,  "Legas you doofus, this guy is the hardest worker you've ever met and you're getting upset with HIM because YOU don't want to work and YOU think that HE needs to slow down a little because HE is being a TRYHARD. You're being exactly like the kids in Bama that you despised bc they would make fun of the people that applied themselves and they personally were too scared to try." 

From that moment I have been on the GRIND! We've already seen so many blessings, one afternoon we set a goal to meet 7 new people. that day we met 17 new people AND handed out a Book of Mormon. Blessings come to those that are obedient yall. that's my message to you this week. 

For about 24 hours I was "forced" to be obedient. I then saw some blessings, I wanted to change myself and I wanted to be obedient because I loved the work. Its already happening. Heavenly Father Answers prayers. 

Ask Him for strength like I did, He is listening. Always.
