Vegans Will Be The Death Of Me

Hey yall!
My preparation day is on a Tuesday this week because I wanted to be able to go to the Temple.

This week was great, it was my last week being a spanish missionary (for now) The other night I got a call from President Nelson and he asked if I was ready to train for the 2nd time! I was so excited to be able to do it again. I have a lot of stuff I want to do differently and I want to depend on the Lord more instead of trying to do everything on my own and how I think it should be done.

(in my 6 months of being a missionary I've had 8 companions! -not counting the one I get on thursday!)

HAHA! okay funny story about me speakin spanish! We were at a baptism and at the end of it a lady came up to me and just started speaking super super fast and at first it didn't sound like she was even speaking spanish! but after a pause I understood what she was saying! I tell her, "soy de alabama" (I am from Alabama)  "Tengo viente anos" (I'm 20 years old) and then she asks how long have I been out on my mission and I say "Seis Mesas" (which translates to 6 tables!) she gave me the most confused look I've seen in my entire life! and I was confused a junk as to why she was. I was confident with my little spanish I knew! Luckily Elder Wheelock jumps in with his fluent Espanol and he says "he means meses" (which means months) Looking back it's not a super funny mess up but she and the others around her thought I was a dingus so that in itself is funny!

We taught Morgan this week, it was so so awesome. shes 16 years old and taking time away from sports and friends and school to talk to us. we talked about how God loves us and wants the best for us. He gives us guidance through His Prophets. We asked if that made sense to her and she said yes. We felt that she didn't understand the question so we asked again: "Does it make sense that God has a Prophet on this earth today to help YOU?" thats when it hit. she answered "well kinda.. it makes sense that you would have a prophet guiding your church and stuff, but for me why would there be a prophet for me?" we got to talk about the Parable and the Lost sheep and that God looks out for everyone. regardless if theyre black, white, religious, or atheist. He loves us all the same and His message for everyone is the same. It clicked for her and she told us that she would pray and ask Heavenly Father if there is a Prophet in these days. WE ARE SO EXCITED FOR HER

We had dinner at a Vegans house and holy cow I was excited to eat! we had a springroll line up and it was amazing! I ate like 4 of them. but later that day it hit me like a brick. the rice paper stuff they had ripped into me. I dont want to go into too much detail but I lost 12 pounds on Saturday. (so much for gaining weight on my mission!)

Thats all I have for you all this week!

Love yall! :)
