"I know that my Heavenly Father loves me"

I felt SO MUCH of Heavenly Fathers love this week. Thank you all so much for your prayers. They really helped me feel uplifted and energetic and happy. 

Tuesday I was still feeling down in the dumps but I decided I needed to do some studies and so I started reading and I had a lot of awesome inspiration!

I was reading about Enoch and how he was called to call the people in the Old Testament to repentance. Enoch argues and says, "Why [...] have I found favor in thy sight, [I] am but a lad, and all the people hate me; for I am slow of speech; wherefore am thy servant?" (meaning "am I qualified to be your servant?")

The Lord responds and tells Enoch, "Go forth and do as I have commanded thee, [...] Open thy mouth, and it shall be filled, and I will give thee utterance, for all flesh is in my hands, and I will do as seemeth me good."

Enoch listens to the Lord and goes and teaches. This is the results of Enoch following thru with the things that were asked of him:

"And it came to pass when they heard him, no man laid hands on him; for fear came on all them that heard him; for he walked with God. 

[...]

And as Enoch spake forth the words of God, the people trembled, and could not stand in his presence"

^ this is the same Enoch that just said I can't speak and the people want to kill me ^

Notice what Enoch focused on. He did not ask that the people would be nice, He did not ask that the people would have a great attitude for when he got to the city. "all men were offended because of him."

Enoch focused what he could control. his choices, his attitude, and his behaviors. 

When Enoch focused on what he could control the Lord magnified Enochs role and made him an awesome leader. Indeed in this scenario "Weak things became strong" (Ether 12:27)

It takes humility and dependence on the Lord to get through hard things. 

I understood that I couldn't control everything that happened but I could focus on my attitude. I could right then and there tell myself I'm going to be okay and there's other people that need to hear about this
