I Ate Wood :/

So there is a statistic for this Idaho Falls Idaho Mission. It is this: The average missionary gains 35-40 lbs while serving their 18 months or 24 months.

This is a fact, I am witnessing missionaries plump up like that kid from Willy Wonka that ate the blueberry stuff.

I am a miracle I guess. I have LOST 18 lbs since I left in March. THIS IS NOT GOOD!

I keep trying new stuff bc I like food but it keeps coming back and biting me.

A week ago I went to a Thai place and had coconut soup (very very good) but being the money sensitive missionary I am I ate EVERYTHING in the bowl. What I didn't realize is the BAMBOO DECORATIONS SANK TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BOWL. So I crunched and crunched on this stuff and choked it down. But I didn't want to waste! That night I didn't sleep, my guts were on fire. In the morning I vomited and there was WOOD SPLINTERS in there! I had splinters in my stomach and was miserable. I couldn't even stand straight all day. But because of Priesthood blessings I felt 100030 times better. Got down to 188 this week but I'm trying to come back!

This week we had some fun experiences.

There was this 15 year old kid that we ran into and he said he likes baseball, hunting, and hockey. He asked us some really good questions about the Book of Mormon and of prayer. We got to Talk about Enos and that story (because of hunting) The kid was super super interested and asked if there was a Specific way he needed to pray. We taught him how and he said he'll do it at night! holy cow so exciting!

Theres so much going on, we have a baptism this week with a chinese lady and we cant wait. she made us dumplings at our lesson on sunday.

Its getting cold and people are driving us places when they see us walking so thats great!

We do lots of youth activities, we have stands and give out candy and fellowship with the members here.

I wish I could get all I want to say down but there isn't enough time. I have to write my mission president and make sure my district is happy. I am so busy and I absolutely love it. I love my family but I don't think of home all that much anymore. I feel like I am truly losing myself in the work.

My Companion is perfect at helping me at this. he works hard and loves to get in fun situations.

I love you all and I love the Work

1. The soup that got me. (notice you cant see any bamboo anywhere)
2. The aftermath of the soup getting me. (Me laying down at a youth activity absolutely miserable)
3. BIG OL SPIDERS (theyre everywhere!)
4. What the food sign up sheet looks like. People literally fight over us. (this is why we gain weight)
5. When I was out tracting we saw a family from my last area!!
