THANKFUL

Hey everyone! As a family on thanksgiving we usually go around the table and say what we're thankful for. Because I won't be able to talk to or see my family this week I want to let you all know what I am most thankful for at this time of my life. A lot of the stuff and the things I will refer to come from my personal study notes:

There are so many people that are lost and think that they are the "vilest of the sinners" (Mosiah 28:4) and the "thought of coming into the presence of [their] God .... racks their souls with horror."(Alma 36:14) 

What satan has done to trick these people is told them that all is lost and there is no way that they would be able to become great and that they don't deserve God's forgiveness. THIS IS A LIE (Ether 8:25)

"For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever" (2 Nephi 27:23) 

"and as many as should look upon the Son of God with faith, having a contrite spirit, might live, even unto that life which is eternal" (Helaman 8:15)

If God could change a persecutor like Saul into the Apostle Paul and turn a man like Alma the younger into the missionary that baptized hundreds He can help you with whatever you need help with. 

THIS IS WHAT I GET TO TALK ABOUT 24/7!! GOD LOVES YOU AND WANTS YOU TO COME BACK!

IS THIS NOT A REASON FOR ME TO REJOICE??

I suffer these "afflictions, and all this, -on the mission-  [so that] perhaps [I] might be the means of saving some soul" (Alma 26:30) 

I have felt the joy that comes from "saving one soul" (D&C 18:15)

BUT IT ISN'T ME! 

"For I boast in my God; for HE has all power, all wisdom and all understanding [...] we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in; (or whatever circumstances they're in) this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving" (Alma 26:37)

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is restored again on the Earth and that is what I am most Thankful for!

I am Thankful for God that is there for me when I need help and comfort

The ability to feel God's love, grace, and mercy is for everyone. Just apply yourself, ask questions and ask God for help! HE IS LISTENING
