The Urgency Is Real!

I wake up at 6:30 every day and I have a huge whiteboard with people's names on it and we plan for who we're gonna see and we walk around in White shirts and slacks in the frozen tundra of Idaho and random people let us in their homes and we touch their dogs and cats. They tell us their entire life story and we talk to them about Jesus, all the day until 9pm. Every. Day.

^That can sum up what a missionary does right there.^ But I will expound just a little bit more :)

This week was pretty dang amazing. We found 3 new people to teach and gave out 3 Copies of the Book of Mormon. 

The first person we found is a 9 yo girl that has been going to church for a minute now. Both her parents aren't members but love that she hangs out with a good crowd. We wish they didn't work so much.

The second person was an absolute miracle called down from Heaven. Literally. One morning we said our prayers and asked for a miracle to be on one of the wards that we cover. That night, we get a random call from a lady and she tells us her neighbor (that she really hasn't ever talked to) came over and asked that the missionaries would give her 16 yo son a chance! (to hear the Gospel) We went over as soon as we could and that boy is amazing. His father died a while ago and he has some questions and we cant wait to go back over and help him understand what the purpose of life is.

The third person is a 62 year old lady that we found while tracting with a priest from our ward. We have been shoveling her driveway and getting her mail for her. We eventually got to talk to her about her life and what she desires. She is basically home bound because she's on oxygen and cant stand for a very long time. She has care takers and she feels like there's really no point to her life. We told her that there absolutely is and we can tell her what God expects of her and that He loves her so much despite the things she's done or has been through.

Despite the differences in all these people, we were able to answer their questions of the soul. All of their questions could be answered through the Book of Mormon. For it truly does, "Bring man nearer to God [more] than any other book"    IF we   "abide by its precepts"

When we read the Book of Mormon we have been promised:

"We will be put in a position to receive the Spirit and hear the voice of the Spirit"

"Feast upon the words of Christ" and they "will TELL you all things what ye should do." (2 Nephi 32:3)

If you can't find a little bit of time in your day to read a little bit of the scriptures, YOU'RE TOO BUSY!

They will bless you in ways you can't imagine.
