Bald Legs, Bruised Knuckles, And An Icicle To The Face
If you are Elder Legas companion you suffered all those things this week (See Subject)
Let me Explain:
Bald Legs: I very rarely prank or tease for those who don't know me very well. I decided it was finally time to break out of my shell and do something I normally don't do. I talked Elder Leavitt into thinking that I could get his leg to go numb by me rubbing it with the palm of my hand in small circular motions. It doesn't actually make your leg numb, just ties a bunch of hairs in knots. I got him pretty good. Now he's patchy :)
Bruised Knuckles: Elder Leavitt told me that one of his goals is to get better with his language. I asked him what I needed to do if "he swore". He said "One swear is 3 Finger Flicks" I asked him "are you sure" "Yes Elder Legas I'm sure" About 10 minutes later he "swore" and so I followed through with the punishment. I flicked him only one time and you could see Elder Leavitt process the mistake he had made. Little did he know I practiced paper football my whole childhood career so my flicking muscles are WAY above average. He wanted to back out but I had to keep him committed (whilst holding back tears of laughter). He is learning VERY quick how to use good language :)
Icicle to the Face: There is a picture attached. Elder Oringdulph and I used to have a fun thing we did called "both of us grab a big icicle and whack em together to make them vaporize" SO Elder Leavitt and I put our own spin on it and turned it into, "Grab icicles that are almost taller than us and swing them like baseball bats to watch them break midair because of torque and lacrosse fling a chunk of ice at Elder Leavitts face" I felt so bad, not gonna lie. He took it like a champ.
This week was filled with a lot of paper work stuff we had to do but we had an amazing Sunday.
We got to teach 2 classes:
The First to a group of boys and girls 13-19 we taught them how to teach The Restoration and what the blessings of it are.
The Second to a group of boys 15-19 We made the classroom into the MTC and instead of just teaching the Plan of Salvation (God's own unique individual plan for every single one of us that answers the questions of the soul such as: Where we were before we were born, Why we are here on Earth, and Where we go when we die) We made them teach. Each of them got to be my companion to teach Elder Leavitt. IT WAS AMAZING. It was fun to see the other Teachers beaming. Those young men are AWESOME. Lots have struggled with deciding on going on a mission but this lesson I feel changed a lot of their ideas. That makes me happy :)
Something that I feel like Heavenly Father wants me to learn right now is Patience and Charity (not with my comp but with others) if yall have any good things for me to study hit me up!
LOVE YALL!
