Sit Down. Be Humble.

WHAT A WEEK!

We had 2 Zone Conferences and an MLC this week. In between all that we also had to drop off our beloved companion Elder Norman. He will be missed.

Story Time.

We knew our topic of training for zone conference about 2 weeks before the meeting. (That's realllllyyyyy early) So. We (Me, Elder Norman, and Elder Stowell) thought and pondered about what we could do to make "THE MOST LEGENDARY TRAINING EVER" (that was our first problem)
Throughout the week we focused our studies around it, when we got home we made slide shows for it, we found videos and tried applying them to this training. We knew we had to be done by Tuesday at 5am and so Monday night we decided to start wrapping it up.
Man oh man.
D&C 9:9 lived true to us.
We MAJORLY got hit with "a stupor of thought" where all three of us couldn't come to a conclusion.
After about 25 minutes of wrestling with what we needed to end with Elder Norman and Stowell said, "why don't we just trash the whole thing and make a new one?" Me being very sleepy and wanting to go to bed very kindly said, "I think that's probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard."
After I said that the Spirit told me, "Legas. that was the stupidest thing you could've said"
I realized my pride and told my companions I thought their idea was the right one. We all said a prayer and asked Heavenly Father to help us out. (It's 10:56)
We all then felt like we needed to have a personal study so we did that for an hour.
When we gathered together to share our ideas THEY MESHED PERFECTLY! in about another hour we got the whole training done! We went to sleep and woke up at 4:30

What was really neat was the change we saw in the mission.

Before my slides were full of "Elder Legas ideas" and random inspirational quotes and stuff. After changing my slides it was full of scriptures from the Bible, Book of Mormon, and some insights from Preach My Gospel.
It is wonderful to see the change that scriptures can make in peoples life.

My advice for all those that are serving missions is STICK WITH THE LITTLE THINGS! Use the works God has given us. Don't worry about trying to come up with an elaborate object lesson!
Heavenly Father will magnify your efforts as you do His work in His way.

I'm sorry if all of this is jumbled and disorganized. It was a fun story for me, and I thought I'd share.

We also found 4 more people to teach, and it was because we listened to our MP's council of "parking far away from your dinner appointment and walking to it"
On the way home we ran into some kids we recognized from a while back and we chatted with them and talked with their mom and she said she would love for us to teach her kids. after our first follow up the kids said they not only prayed but got all their friend to pray with them every day. Those friend then came and we began teaching them!

PEOPLE'S LIVES WILL BE CHANGED BECAUSE OF YOUR OBEDIENCE!!

I love you all!
