BMX-Changes

Hello everyone!
This is gonna be a quickie! Zone Conference is all this week so we have to get into some meetings!

This week was awesome!
I got to go on 3 exchanges with 3 amazing elders! I learned from all of them. The biggest blessing was I was able to stay in my area for the WHOLE WEEK! That has never happened before!

At the beginning of exchanges we like to set expectations, a usual conversation I like to have is that they're in my area to touch lives, not just be on a mini vacation away from their comps. Every single one of them talked and participated and acted as themselves. (Sometimes on Exchanges Missionaries put on a front).
On an exchange with 7 week old Elder Luekenga we contacted a family that I've been dying to meet and Elder Luekenga totally stepped up and the mom was like, "Yeah my 8 year old and 12 year old have been wanting to talk to missionaries so they can be baptized. What's your number?" BAM!

I then got to go with Elder Wood and because he's bilingual we contacted my favorite family (The Reyes's) We got to share a quick message and because some of Elder Wood's interests were/ are similar to Ricky Reyes' they had a really good convo that led the Reyes family to invite us over for dinner! (We had Pisole! it's soooo good!)

Then the most miracles that happened was when I was on exchanges with the Brazilian Man Elder Dumer ("Doomer") A little background with him, He had sponsorship's from Rockstar Energy to be a BMX biker for them. HE IS SO GOOD! After we set expectations I told him there are some kids we're trying to teach that ride BMX bikes. We texted them, set up a time to meet and the talent show commenced. I was just a cheerleader the whole time, I can't even take my hands off the handle bars. Anywhoo, Elder Dumer then bears a powerful testimony on why he's out on a mission and the kids are just amazed! They asked when the next time we could meet, and even one of them came to church!

God gave us specific talents and personalities for a reason. Always be yourself!

Much love,
Elder Legas

9. Elder Wood! (We forgot to take an exchange pic so we took one at the "Why I Believe Fireside)
10. Elder Luekenga! this is right after I got him with "Biological Magnetosis"
11. Coolest miracle on Sunday! So these two kids have a dad on the run because he "killed someone" a mom that is Christian but doesn't want anything to do with missionaries (right now) but she really likes that we teach them because she can see their behavior changing. These kids have friends that said "they won't be friends anymore if you go to church with those guys in white shirts"
Sunday comes around and it's pouring rain and it's 9 am church. Elder Stowell and I are not super confident that they'll be ready. Then comes 8:40 and they're there waiting OUTSIDE for us! I give them my coat and they say, "We would rather come to church then have those kinds of friends.." We walk to church and the Ward just loved them to death. it was amazing.
