"Traveler" - Chris Stapleton

OH MY GOODNESS!! I went on 6 exchanges this week! Probably the most fun I've ever had! Because my companionship is a trio right now our Mission President has me travel around and see how other missionaries are doing. Some are doing great, some not so great haha. I got to be in: Driggs, Jackson, St Anthony, Taylor Mountain (south IF), and IF North, the other exchange was in my area :) It was amazing to see the success some missionaries had! 3 Nephi 6:5 rang true to me all week: "And now there was nothing in all the land to hinder the people from prospering continually, EXCEPT they should fall into transgression." Sometimes, the only thing keeping us from being happy is a poor choice we continually make. But there's always hope, Christ says, "... if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. .... (My) arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me." (3 Nephi 9:14) I realized for m...

HEY!  The subject line is a meal we had here in one of the biggest houses I've ever been in. It was absolutely amazing. This week has been so good for me, I'm so grateful for my family and for missionaries that are so supporting.  We had a few zone conferences this week and during one of the role plays President Hurley pulled me aside and told me that I was going to be traveling for the next few weeks. (until I need to help out with transfers again) I was SO relieved. I love the two I'm with, but it's a weird dynamic. I have a few pictures and I want to talk to my family so this is my weekly:) PICS 1. How meetings are held now. 2. ELDER FOSTER (My Dad's mission President) came to zone conference and taught us! It was so fun to be able to take pictures with him and catch up! 3. This is after I told the Elders I was going to be traveling around 4. This is a gif, I don't know if it'll work. BUT I WENT ON EXCHANGES WITH ELDER DAVIES AND IT WAS MY MOST FAVORITE T...

La Lucha Con La Enfermedad

If y'all don't know spanish, the subject line means "I'm grateful I've been healthy all week" This week I thought I was tired, and I rightfully could have been but I was letting it get to me too much.  Our Mission President asked us to go talk in a youth fireside and one question that was asked really helped me get out of my funk. (I'm still oober tired, but I'm more optimistic about it now) She asked, "What's the point of going out on a mission just to get rejected, just for people to be mean to you?"  I had the opportunity to respond with what Elder Scott said in his talk, "Realize your Full potential"  I said something like,  "Because there are those golden moments of success that make all of the hardships worthwhile. Those rewards come when the Spirit touches a heart for eternal good because someone like (me) was there"  (I then expounded a little bit about how God needs YOU and not YOU pretending to be someone els...

Bye Buddy! Hope You Find Your Dad!

Welp. My good friend Elder Cano is gone! I'm so proud of how he finished off his mission. He's truly one of the hardest working, most genuine guys I know. Good thing he's in Utah. With that being said, I feel like that one kid in school that only hung out with upperclassmen and then they all graduated. so now I'm here chillin. (not really though) I love my new companions! If I train them quickly I might be released in two weeks!! :) Something I've learned this week is, "your future is as bright as your faith" If I think negatively then I will have a negative future, If I think positively I'll have a positive future. very short and simple, but it helped me out big time. Another great thing I've had to learn is I need to be teachable. "When our desire to receive instruction is a greater force than our comfort in remaining as we are, we become teachable" I've hindered my learning opportunities because I wasn't willing to be uncomfort...
