It Happened.
Hey everyone!!
My time has come. After 11 months of serving in the same square mile I'm being transferred!! I have absolutely loved my time here in Ammon. There are so many things I could write about but the one thing that has stayed consistent is the blessings that the Lord shows me week after week.
Last night we were teaching a 17 year old named Forrest and he said, "Elder Legas, there's been a bunch of people that have helped me on this path that I'm on but if it weren't for you I don't know if I'd be here.. would you be able to baptize me?"
I was speechless, I felt so honored. I told him absolutely!
I'm gonna miss Ammon like crazy but I know Rexburg is going to be awesome! I'm whitewashing with ELDER FA'AUMU! He's only been out 6 weeks and I'll get to teach him english as well! Rexburg is going to be a doozie but I'm SO EXCITED!!
Here's some pictures from this week:)
1. Elder Findlay (We didn't have a ton of time but this was our 2 hour exchange, he's the best district leader ever)
2. JACOB HURLEY. This defines him perfectly, he takes after his dad.
3. IT'S SO COLD AND DRY. look at elder meyers hands!! Also his hands make mine look tiny..
4. Exchanges with Elder Hutchinson and Elder Lee
5. Sayin peace out to the Kunz family
6. Brother and Sister Hertz, I'll miss them so much. He's the best Ward Mission leader the world has ever seen
7. ELDER FA'AUMU! We went to crumbl cookie a few days ago, I knew we were gonna be comps but he didn't yet. Y'all get ready for some fun stories!
8. This week I had to spend 3 hours making an STL video for President Hurley, it was rough.
9. This is after a fireside and after Forrest talked to me, so I was just SUPER happy. A little bonus background might help: I knew I was being released as an Assistant and I knew I didn't have to make any calls or prepare any paperwork ever again. The other 2 were in the process of working on it. hence, their excited faces :)
I've loved serving in the assignment I was given, I'm grateful for the long nights and early mornings. I'm grateful for the Hurley family. I'm grateful for all the companions I've had. They've shaped me into the person God needs me to be.
Okay, I'm gonna call my family now!
