Lessons Learned From Others

Hey yall!! I'm trying to get back into the habit of writing! This week FLEW by but looking back it's hard to remember what happened. I went on 3 exchanges this week and it was so awesome! The missionaries around me are super good examples.  On one exchange I went with Elder Davidsen and went back to a walking area, it was a hot 48 degrees. At our dinner appointment we did kebabs but were in a huge hurry so we cooked our meat and boogied. Sad to say we are lightly toasted chicken.. probably one of the sketchiest things I've had. Medium rare beed is yummy, not chicken. We didn't get sick though so that's good:) The next exchange was with the AP Elder Norman! We were trained by the same guy so we had some fun stories to share with eachother. There was a guy we taught that was hardcore roasting us and the Temple in Rome and for some reason it got to me. I was the most bold I've ever talked to someone in my life. I didnt raise my voice but I was very direct. He took ...

Well transfer calls happened and I'm getting transferred to Shelley. After 8 months in the same area a change of Scenery is nice. I'm sad to leave Elder Leavitt.  They made me a Zone Leader, It basically means I have a lot more meetings to go to. I'm excited but nervous. Okay so the dumbest thing just happened. That is true, but there's more to it. It is also a MOTIVATING faith in Christ and His Gospel.  Conversion is not a one time event but a continual process we all need to go through and keep working on.  Right now in this time of my life I am more motivated to do good things than any other time and IT. IS. SO. MUC...

The subject will make sense if you read the whole email :) There's a story in the Book of Mormon that I read this week that I loved. There was a Prophet named Alma who had a son named Alma (Don't get confused) Alma the Younger was an "Unbeliever [...] and he became a very wicked and idolatrous man. He was a man of many words, and did speak much flattery to the people" (Mosiah 27:8) Causing a lot of them to fall away from Christ's Church. One day, while Alma the Younger "[was] going about rebelling against God [...] an angel of the Lord appeared unto [him]" (Mosiah 27:11) And asked him in essence: "Why the heck are you doing all the dumb stuff you're doing? Don't you know that God won't have his Church destroyed by a man alone? That only the sins of all the people can over throw it?" (Elder Legas translation of Mosiah 27:13) --Okay side note. Alma the Younger was the Son of Alma the PROPHET. I'm POSITIVE Alma the Younger had his ...
