Hello everyone!  This week was fantastic! Thank you for all the birthday wishes! Made my Wednesday a whole lot better! :)  This "birthday week" (as my mom would call it) was one for the books.  We had a baptism and put another person on date and had a whole family come to church AND found 2 new people to teach! I am so happy we had time to work in our area. I don't have a lot of time but I wanted to share with yall a little quote I wish I thought of myself but in all reality the Spirit put this into my head and I'm just grateful I had a pen in hand to write it. I was studying from a few general conference talks and then a talk called "The Character of Christ". This is what was the results of my studies: "IF good character is recognizing and positively responding to other people who are experiencing the very challenge we are, THEN self mastery is the ultimate test of our character" I like this a lot because Christ CONSTANTLY thought outside of Himse...

Hello everyone!!  Transfers are done! :) It's my favorite / least favorite week ever.  Favorite because we get to spend half a day with the departing missionaries and we get to meet all the new on fire missionaries.  Least favorite because the lack of sleep and because of all the babysitting that happens.  Also favorite because the Friday and Saturday are days 100% devoted to our area. President Hurley told us that he wanted to see what real missionary life was like and so me and him went on exchanges for half a day, we personal studied, comp studied, the whole shabang. I also got to be his companion in church meetings and I got to sit up front with him. We had a lot of laughs, he told me I'm a lot like him when it comes to the mentality of a missionary so that was kind. He said there's a difference in missionaries now then when he was out. I'm so grateful for that man.  We found a bunch of new potentials. There was one lady that has been sober from heroine and ...

I need all of y'all to know that I love this work and that I'm healthy. My testimony is growing and I love those that we're teaching. One of them just passed their baptismal interview so we're super excited.  I truly wish I had time to write a more detailed email. Love yall! 1. We don't wear floral ties anymore so I  gave one of my best buds my non floral tie on mini exchanges. I'm covering up the floral tie he gave me. #tryingtobeobedient 2-3. Prep for and post transfer calls #wiped 4. There's this bag Elder Stowell packs with that you can vacuum up and so I decided to go in it. It was wild.

Our new Mission President is AMAZING!! He's a young guy with 6 kids (4 are still at home) and has an auctioneering business back home in Pennsylvania.  The quote comes from our old Mission President right before he left. It was pretty funny, he'll be missed.  So this week has been hectic but just for kicks and giggles I'll tell you of some of the things we've had to deal directly and not so directly with in the past few days. (Please note, usually the MP deals with this stuff but bc he's new we got to deal with it)  1. We merged the Blackfoot zone into our mission and there's 7 oober trunky missionaries there and 3 severely disobedient ones that we now get to take in. (We'll be going on exchanges there shortly) 2. There has been 2 car crashes that we had to handle (I wasnt a part of any of them dont worry) 3. A sister missionary went to the hospital (not because of the crashes) 4. An Elder RAN AWAY from his companion so we had to chase him down. That was a f...
