"I Don't Want This To Be A Secret Combination"

This week was so inspiring! We had Brother Littlefield come to our Zone Conferences and he taught with power!  This is some notes I had as he talked with us.  This is more for other missionaries serving but it all is good :) The Lord blesses the consistent  “Faith moves mountains, but it often takes shovel full after shovel full” Key Indicators measure what OTHERS do, not what we have accomplished.  “Focus on finding those that want to progress, not those that will just listen” As you have adversity look outward Tender mercies are for those that acknowledge and recognize them We follow up, not give up With our faith we can CAUSE miracles  “Faith can cause things to happen that otherwise wouldn’t happen” If you want to find the elect: PROVE to the Lord that you know the difference PROVE to the Lord that it matters to you PROVE to the Lord you know how to spend your time “When you prove to the Lord you cherish the elect you will find more elect.” If we expect othe...

"I'm Not Laughing, This Is My Serious Face"

President said it first but this probably sums up my week ^  Oh man this week was amazing. Elder Cano and I found a family of NINE to teach. AND they came to church!!  We have been over to visit them 6 times over the past week, they are just eager so eager to learn. The 15 year old has read 47 pages of the Book of Mormon and the 12 year old has read 38! It's so cool to see the gospel change their lives.  We get to meet with Shane Littlefield today and talk about zone conference! I'm sorry, this is a super short one! I love y'all, keep reading your scriptures and saying your prayers! Pictures! (Yes, I cut my hair again) 1. Elder Cano and Elder Semien also cut their hair 2. ...Then we got matching hats 3. IT SNOWED 4. If you know you know. #crazyoldmlscouples 5. Smokin' Fins! (Elder Palmer is a champ)

So HAPPY

Transfer week is done y'all!! The new missionaries that came in are amazing, they have some tough shoes to fill with all the stellar missionaries that left though. I'll miss Elder Stowell! I was reading in Mosiah this week and I learned some really good principles of prayer I thought I would share with y'all Zeniff was a righteous king that fled with his people from a city called Zarahemla to the land of Lehi-Nephi. Zeniff and his people "(possessed the land) and began to build buildings, and to repair the walls of the city, [...] and began to till the ground" After about 12 years the king of the Lehi-Nephi's "grew uneasy, lest by any means (Zeniff's) people should wax strong in the land, and that they (the Lamanites) could not overpower them and bring them into bondage" To stop the growth of Zeniff's people, the Lamanites, "began to slay them, and to take off their flocks, and the corn of their fields" So Zeniff's people fled t...

"How Can I Be A Missionary With All This Click-bait?"

^ This quote brought to you by my new companion ELDER CANO ^ OH MAN. For those who don't know this, I've known Elder Cano since the 7th grade. We went to the same middle school and hung out with all the same friends! (Even crushed on the same girl at same time so we had to battle it out) (not really tho) He was my district leader when I was only 3 months out and he's made the biggest impact on my life since then, over a year and two months ago he pulled me aside right before I was getting transferred and said, "Elder Legas, you'd be a great missionary if you grew up a little bit." OUCH That has stuck with me ever since. I look up to the guy and I'm really happy I get to continue to learn from him this next 6 weeks. (I'm hoping it's 12 weeks so I can kill him off)  Anywhoo, y'all get ready for some fun stories the next few weeks.  I LOVED GENERAL CONFERENCE!  I'm so grateful for a Prophet that communes with God and guides the Church to His w...
